Nikka Whiskey From The Barrel

My Notes
This is yet another great japanese bleded whiskey that became really hard to find for a while. It has a really unique and fragile feeling bottle, but inside is some of the best whiskeys from japan.
The higher proof really kicks your tongue, but so too does the wood, citrus, cinnamon and spices, finshing with some vanilla and clove. On the nose, it has this dinstinct apple scent, that I pick up in Hibiki as well.
This bottle can be hard to find, and for a reasonable price. This is an ultimate gift for the whiksey connoisseur. It's a great bottle to have in your bar (I have 2). This is a whiskey to pull out for people who are interested in exploring a different side of whiskey, literally a different side of the world.

How to Taste
With your whiskey at room temperature, put the glass near your nose and close your eyes and inhale. What do
you smell?
Drink a sip, just enough to cover your tounge and swish it around front, left and right. then down the
hatch. What do you taste?
If it burns a little, maybe try to add a couple drops of water. Otherwise, try again - usually after the
initial burn, you may get some of the flavors you are looking for.
