Rhine Hall Oak Aged Brandy

My Notes
This Oak Aged Apple Brandy is produced in a small distillery the old fashioned way. Aged in kentucky barrels for upwards of 12 months, this has a slight young spirit taste to it. The oak rounds out the overwhelming apple flavor a bit with some nice woodsy notes.
The taste on the palette is baked apple pie, cinnamon and some woody oak. The finish is immaculate, closing my eyes i feel like i just ate a nice natural apple saucue or a slice of pie. The juicy parts between the apples.
I have been mixing this lately into an apple old fashioned with homemade apple syrup. It adds a subtle flavor apple to any drink. For a brandy, this is a bit on the expensive side, but for a craft apple brandy with some oak age on it, its worth the price.

How to Taste
With your whiskey at room temperature, put the glass near your nose and close your eyes and inhale. What do
you smell?
Drink a sip, just enough to cover your tounge and swish it around front, left and right. then down the
hatch. What do you taste?
If it burns a little, maybe try to add a couple drops of water. Otherwise, try again - usually after the
initial burn, you may get some of the flavors you are looking for.
