Few Four Grain 10th Anniversary Bourbon
- November 17th, 2023
-

My Notes
This 10 year anniversary bourbon from FEW might not be on the shelves right now, but its a really good bottle for taste and experience. It biulds on top of the standard straight bourbon whiskey with its 4 grain mashbill (the regular expression has 3 grains, corn, rye and malted barley).
This is packed with cinnamon, you get it thought the nose, palette and finish. Sweetness from vanilla, a little like a nice desert. Burn from the rye, but not really the alcohol since its just a 93 proof bourbon.
This is a good bottle if you can find it. Its somewhat complex and more geared towards people who want to get some nuance from their bourbons. For the price, might be worth a buy for your bar or gift.

How to Taste
With your whiskey at room temperature, put the glass near your nose and close your eyes and inhale. What do
you smell?
Drink a sip, just enough to cover your tounge and swish it around front, left and right. then down the
hatch. What do you taste?
If it burns a little, maybe try to add a couple drops of water. Otherwise, try again - usually after the
initial burn, you may get some of the flavors you are looking for.
