Few Single Malt

My Notes

This may be one of the most disappointing bottles I've bought from FEW. It's trying to be a scotch, but has no peat. It has very little flavor over all, and the price is a bit steep for what it is, a 1 year old fake scotch whiskey.

The smell reminds me of an old basement tool shelf. A bit musty, some old grease. Its nutty and malty at the same time. This may be due to my dad working in a grain factory growing up. The taste is unmistakably malted barley, with some hint of cherry if you really look for it. The finish is almonds and barley.

Pass this one up if you see it on the shelf. Its too young and really one note on the taste. For the price, there are so many better bottles to get instead of this one.

How to Taste
With your whiskey at room temperature, put the glass near your nose and close your eyes and inhale. What do you smell? Drink a sip, just enough to cover your tounge and swish it around front, left and right. then down the hatch. What do you taste? If it burns a little, maybe try to add a couple drops of water. Otherwise, try again - usually after the initial burn, you may get some of the flavors you are looking for.
