Few Single Barrel Bourbon Bottled In Bond
- November 17th, 2023
-

Being a single barrel selection, the taste I described might vary slightly from barrel to barrel. This was a barrel pick from Binnys
My Notes
This bottle is almost everything I love about the FEW bourbons, amplified to 10. The regular straight bourbon is amazing, but this single barrel bottled in bond brings everything I want in a bourbon into one bottle.
There is some proof to this sitting at 50% ABV, but its only 3.5% more than the original expression. But it comes in at the righe moments to give a little burn along with some cinnamon and cherry and a undertone of citrus. Then some vanilla pops up and stays throught the finish.
This is one of my personal favorite bottles I have right now, and its a great price if you can find the single barrel selections. I got mine at Binny's, they almost always heve good single barrel picks.

How to Taste
With your whiskey at room temperature, put the glass near your nose and close your eyes and inhale. What do
you smell?
Drink a sip, just enough to cover your tounge and swish it around front, left and right. then down the
hatch. What do you taste?
If it burns a little, maybe try to add a couple drops of water. Otherwise, try again - usually after the
initial burn, you may get some of the flavors you are looking for.
